So Mundane...

Up late tonight, getting the website up and also putting together some wooden pre-fab storage furniture from Target. Some nights are magic, dancing around bonfires until dawn; some are mundane. Chop wood, carry water; administer website, re-arrange bedroom.

Mundane, that is, except for the music. I finally opened up the CD I bought from Chris Chandler a while back, "Convenience Store Troubadours". Wow.

Some of you have heard me rave about this guy. Well, I'm going to do it again now. Check him out. Spoken word + folk music = "folken word," as he puts it. He's living in Maryland now and I'm hoping to turn more friends on to his work.

Hear some of his stuff in RealAudio at http://www.puremusic.com/listenten.html (scroll down a bit to the links for "Chris Chandler & Anne Feeney", "Chris Chandler & Convenience Store Troubadours", and "Chris Chandler". Do it! Do it now!

Hey tms, I'm a Chandler fan too, a really lucky one cause I got to produce his new video and do the Enhanced CD for his new album.

I ran across your post and wanted to tell you about the song "Something's In the Air / But It's Not on the Airwaves" - its getting lots of play on the Internet and is creeping onto the radiowaves as well - you can hear the song and watch the video here: http://chrisvids.org

The album American Storyteller is full of really great stuff. The songs are all incredible, its so hard to say, well this one or that one is the best. My favorite is probably Cracker Jack Cure, but I like 'em all.

Check out the enhanced CD for American Storyteller here:

There is even a special surprise hidden inside - put the disks into your computer to look for the prize!

Oh and Convenience Store Troubadours was the first one I had, I bought it when I saw him live in New Orleans - its really a great CD too. It'll go well with assembling your Target furniture, am I right?
