C-base is made by reacting cocaine HCl with baking soda in aqueous solution, and it is then extracted with ether. If you do this, get someone to put some in with some pot in a joint, and post what happens. Maybe that would be a better or milder high than smoking it straight. ----------------------- Crudest Method: Cocaine hyrochloride is mixed with baking soda and water. At least .6 gram soda per gram of pure C, or even more to be on the safe side. The mixture is wet so it can react. The paste eventualy trans- forms itself into cocaine base. The process takes time, followed by quite a bit more time to dry, and is therefore unacceptable to the impa- tient addict. It can take days to completely dry, and some quivering junkies are tempted to put the paste in the oven to speed the process. As C-base begins to evaporate at about 98 deg C, this act may result in a tragic loss of base, followed by attacks by fellow basers. This method skips the extraction process. If done this crude way, the resulting rock will consist not only of C-base, but also the waste products of the reaction, maybe excess soda, plus all the sugars, acids, caffine, speed, lidocane, procaine & what have you, all the garbage that may have been used to cut the cocaine powder. For the user, the crude way is the worst way, but "garbage rock" gives more weight for the dollar, so it continues to be used. ---------------- Extraction removes a great deal of the cuts and filler, but some garbage still does get through. Lidocaine, procaine, and other toxic "cains" can be tested for, but not removed. Slightly Less Crude Way: 1 gm Cocaine HCl is disolved in a small (3-4") glass vial with a screw on cap about 1" full of water. (Real cocaine, by the way, will dissolve entirely and immediatly in as little as .5 gram of water.) Add at least .6 gram baking soda, tightly cap the vial, and shake vigorously for about one minute. The solution will be clear when the reaction is complete (unless you have a great excess of soda), in which white chunks or crystals are suspended. Repeat several times. The reaction is slow, and can be speeded by heating the vial under hot water in your sink. The crystals are C-base, and can be either mechanicaly extracted by pouring the solution through filter papers and rinsing several times with water and dried under a lamp, or by extraction with ether. -------------------------- Extraction with Ether: Ether is far more voilatle than gasoline, and the vapors are prone to ignition or explosion. They will also cause sickness and confusion or unconsiousness if concentrated and inhaled. Caution must be used. Add about 1.5 inches of ether to the vial. Shake well, so that all the C-base crystals dissolve in the ether. Let the ether settle on top of the water and drain the ether from the vial with a large eyedropper. The water may be disgarded. (I believe Prestone starting fluid contains ether, but it leaves a residue when it dries, indicating it could contain something else. It may work or it may kill you.) Put the ether on a ceramic plate or large watch glass and let it eva- porate. This may be done outside because ether stinks for days, and the vapors can be explosive or sickening. When the bottom of the plate warms to room temp, the C-base is dry. For full efficiency, the base powder must be scraped up with a razor and consumed in a special screened glass pipe with a torch, not with a li- ghter. If someone can't afford the proper equipment, then he can't afford to use freebase either. The powder is not burned, merely heated. It vaporizes and dissapears without a trace like the money you spent on it. If you started with pure cocaine and did everything correctly, the result of this labor will be about .88 gm of C-base, which should last you at least 20 minutes of hard basing. When you are done, take $100 out of your bank account, buy another gram of cocaine hydrocloride, and go back to step one. Congratulations, you are now a rock star. (name elided)
