The sexual abuse of children is a terrible and horrible thing, and those who perpetrate it need to be removed from our company.

It does not follow, however, that possessing images of the sexual abuse of children should in and of itself be a criminal act; and criminalizing the possession of such images has had corrosive effects on our liberty. Pirate Party founder Rick Falkvinge is right on target: Three Reasons Possession Of Child Porn Must Be Re-Legalized In The Coming Decade

Child pornography is a toxic subject, but a very important one that cannot and should not be ignored. This is an attempt to bring the topic to a serious discussion, and explain why possession of child pornography need to be re-legalized in the next ten years, and why you need to fight for it to happen.

There are some countries around the globe that have no laws against the mere possession of child pornography, however there are laws that state if you posses it with intent to sell/distribute/trade you will be fined/prisoned, which seems like a more logical solution. If you think about it possession does not harm anyone. It will harm a victim knowing that someone possessed it, but that only happens when a federal agency that advocates children's rights goes on running their mouth and telling the entire nation that this "perp" had pictures/videos of this victim. That victim will have to hear that same story in his/her head over and over again. So really it is the producer's/distributors that should be thrown away and law enforcement whose job it is to download this smut in order to bring them to "justice". This country makes no sense whatsoever.
