You've had plenty of practice with your golf strokes and now you have leftover practice golf balls. What can you do with them? Have the kids make crafts. Here are some craft ideas using practice golf balls.

Holiday Ornaments

Most practice golf balls have holes in them. But some are one solid piece. Either ball can be used or a rage driver.

Many different ornaments can be made from practice golf balls. Use your imagination. There are many ideas for ornaments. From snowmen to a flower holder, all it takes are some basic craft supplies to get started.

Get the supplies together. A glue gun could be useful but not necessary. Regular craft glue will work. If working with a glue gun, make sure precautions are used. Even low temp glue guns are hot.

You will need various items such as felt, artificial flowers, glitter, yarn or string, wiggle eyes and any other item you want in order to make the ornaments to your taste. You can add artificial flowers through the holes of the golf ball. If you have a solid practice golf ball you can just glue flowers to the surface, add some moss and make a flower ornament that way.

Decorate the golf balls to your liking. You can add felt in the shape of feet. Add wiggle eyes, foam or felt eyes. Add a string and hang up to dry. Once dry you can hang it on your holiday tree or hang it on a nail or hook.

Snowman Craft

Glue two or three golf balls together. Sit aside to let dry. While the body is drying, you can make a base for the snowman so that it can stand up. Use craft sticks, toothpick, twigs, or even a couple more golf balls to make a box. Make sure there is just enough room to place the golf ball body inside or you can glue it in place. Once everything is dry, attach the base and decorate the body. Don’t forget the snowman’s hat, pipe, eyes and nose. Perhaps you could give him a tie or scarf. Of course he needs arms. You can use twigs or toothpicks for the arms.

For an alternative version, instead of a base give him a sled, skis or even a snowboard. You can buy an already manufactured sled or make one using craft sticks and glue. Paint the sled, if need be, any color you’d like. For skis or a snowboard, use craft sticks. Glue the bottom of the snowman to the craft stick(s) and let dry.

The snowman can be a centerpiece of a table setting or even an ornament on the tree or shelf.

Coasters

You can use practice golf balls to make a coaster. Decide how big the coaster will be. You can make a base from craft sticks, twigs or a flat piece of wood. Glue the golf balls around in the form that you’d like. You can decorate the coaster with paints, glue on felt or foam pieces or leave it as is for a golf theme coaster.
